How it all got started...

Recently, a close friend of mine lost her buddy, a blue Chihuahua named Grayson.  As an artist, I thought that the best gift I could give her was a painting of her little guy. As I was creating that painting, it made me realize that my own Chihuahua, Pico, is looking and acting older by the day and that there will be a day that I, too, will face the same grief. I often struggle with this notion so it's no surprise that he makes a cameo in my paintings from time to time (lizzyfalconart.com), but I wanted to do more to keep his legacy alive. I happen to be sick in bed that week, unable to focus on my other art projects, so I got to doing a few of these digital designs on my iPad. Each design kept getting more interesting and fun to make and now I'm kind of (totally) addicted to making more.  I'm a such a fan girl of Alice in Wonderland, DC comics, Star Wars, Marvel, etc., so I thought I'd dress him up as all my favorite characters. Once you fall in love with a Chihuahua, you're hooked. Personally, I'm addicted to Chihuahua clothing, socks, mugs, stickers... basically anything Chihuahua. So, I decided to turn my own chihuahua into art and merchandise that other Chihuahua owners and lovers can enjoy. Since there are girl designs too, I included Pico's first love.. the beautiful Miss Tous Tous Engelhardt into the designs.
